Backup Your Twitter With TweetakeLike it says in the title this is a new backup service for your Twitter account.

If you are a heavy Twitter user with lots of followers and updates are being added constantly, and you don’t want to lose all your data, then this is a great place to start backing up all those valuable information.

Backup Instructions

  • Go to Tweetake
  • Enter your Twitter user name and password so Tweetake knows it is your account
  • Select what need to be backed up. You can backup followers, friends, favorites, your tweets aka messages/updates, or all of them
  • Click “Get ‘em!” to start backing up. You will get a CSV file with all your stuff in it
  • That’s it Backup Done!

Note: You might want to temporally shutdown Tweetdeck or any other Twitter utility before using this backup service. This is due to Twitter’s API has an hourly data pull limit which causes Twitter to give you a “You’ve used up your hourly allowance” message.

If this happens, just shut down those Twitter services and wait a few minutes then try the backup process. You should be good to go. You can turn those services back on after the backup.

Like always we like to hear your comments. What do you think about this service? drop us a line and let us know.
