Mac OS X 10.5.5 Update

Apple released the newest update for Mac OSX Leopard, version OS X 10.5.5 today. The update is available via Apple “Software Update” on your Mac.

  • Kerberos authentication issues for Mac OS X 10.5 clients been fixed

  • Stability issue with Smart Groups been fixed
  • Printing issue fixed with address cards containing data on multiple pages

iCal Fixes

  • Improved handling for repeating events
  • Performance improvements when selecting meeting attendees
  • Issues with read-only been fixed
  • Published calender syncing bugs are fixed
  • Fixed for “Refresh All” option as it stays dimmed for certain calenders
  • Issue that prevents an invitee from moving an event to a different calendar has bow been corrected

  • Temporary RSS Feed disappearance been corrected
  • Reliability fixes for when saving drafts with attachments
  • Performance improvements for sending messages

Disk Utility and Directory Utility

  • Reliability fixes for rebuilding a software mirror RAID volume
  • Corrected server status display in Directory Utility

MobileMe

  • Overall Syncing is improved. Now much more stable.
  • Reliability fix for Back to My Mac

Time Machine

  • Reliability fixes for Time Machine when using Time Capsule
  • Performances fixes for initial and in-progress backups
  • Ability to back up iPhone backups on your Mac, as well as items in (~/Library/Application Support) folder
  • Incorrect “Not enough free space” alert has been fixed
