New iPod Nano, iTunes 8, Blue-Ray Hints

It looks like Apple is hinting for updates for some of it’s flagship of products in the next couple of weeks.

According to the hints there will be both major software and hardware upgrades. Here’s what we know so far about this news story.

• Major redesign for the current iPod Nano line. As you can see in the picture, it is wider than the current model with a windscreen format display with the usual click wheel.

  It looks like the enclosure is rounded on the side and the screen itself is also bubble up not like a flat surface like the current Nano.

• iPod Touch will also go into some changes but probably not too deep like the Nano
• Both The iPhone and the iPod Touch will get a version 2.1 Software Upgrade
• The iPods will see a price drop so it will be correctly align with the current iPhone price points
• iTunes 8.0 will be introduced. According to the sources, this will be a major update to the app with lots of new cool functionality built in
• The next release of the Leopard update which is 10.5.6 will spot Blue-Ray Support
